Lying between Hart, Dragon and Bear lands, Rockholme was keenly contested territory during the Gathering of 1098AF. Given over to Unicorn rule as a protecterate, the town quickly expanded when the 2nd Unicorn army, rename the Rockholme Guard, was placed on duty in the Dwarven caverns beneath the town. Since then the Rockholme army has become almost entirely dwarven and is controlled by the Dueregar Commander, General Grimbold.

The town is filled with the hard headed natives that have survived being the crossing point between 3 factions. There are a few wealthy families in the town, notably the De Montfords and the Du Bois, but other than that most of the town's money is made through trade with the surrounding areas.
